MJ’s 21st @Regent hotel

Hello loves, today’s post will be about my 21st birthday celebration. I’m just like everybody else, thinking whether i should host a 21st bday party since its like the only ‘big’ bday u are left to celebrate ur adulthood until ur next big bday which would probably be when ur 50, or ur 80 da shou. But on the other hand, i’m like its so expensive and difficult to host a party & its probably not that special what since birthday will come every year. However its still, a 21st & its like stepping into adulthood. It’s probably the only year it’s legit to host a party for yourself, to celebrate urself. So I decided to celebrate myself for the first time in my life by planning a 21st party. 🙂

Planning was not as easy as it seems. I never knew how difficult it is to host one until i tried it myself because u really have to look into the details and know what u want. And probably a lot of help is needed from ur friends and family so that it’ll be less tiring for u. Anyways it’s not bad la, just that its not easy either. I have no regrets though!

I started planning since probably around 3 months in advance (booking the hotel, cause i’m kiasu). So i did manage to get some early bird discount.. like four hundred-ish for 2d1n at Regent hotel’s executive suite room (88 square metres). It can fit quite a number of ppl, l invited 20 plus and it was spacious. 🙂 Oh yeah the service was really awesome too, we requested lots of stuff and they took the effort to meet our needs. (like lending us scotch tape, scissors, ice) hehe ❤

And also got some miscellaneous stuff whenever i saw things that i wanted at the party like pink designed plates and stuff. Anyways, enough with the chatting.. time to look at the pictures!!

Today when we were trying to get our cab to City Square, there was a bus which has pictures shows that it goes city square so we asked if we could take the bus. It was our very first bus ride in JB- only costed us 1.50RM each. Saves money + no need to worry about kena scam. 🙂

We shopped for quite a while, headed back to city square for Kimbo BBQ. Super nice!

Bought these cutie pies at 10RM for 12 pieces- it was on discount.

Back to Humble Beginnings to have swiss chocolate cake.

Ended off our date by watching X-Men. It was not bad! Haha probably 1000x better then Godzilla( whole show the monster just GrRRRRRR so i fell asleep for 45mins of the show). I watched finish the show despite my sleepy state. 🙂

what saturday is all about

Today is yet another Saturday.
I really thank God for much grace today.
It’s been a tough week, been really stressed about school and tests. Shall mention that i’ve been lost on the way to cg cause i missed 10 stops away from my bus stop, how can anyone possibly miss so many stops. Washed my hair with body soap instead of shampoo. But I’m glad thats all over.

Saturday, when i get to serve and see the kids.
Honestly it can be real tiring to handle a bunch of kids.
However it was a great day cause they listened better today because of the packet of candies in my hands. That never fails to get the attention to all/most of the kids. Trust me, it’s very effective. 🙂 (but i try not to do it often, sweets are not really good for them but yea..)

On the way back on the bus, i tested them the bible memory verse.
And for some reason they were all very participative. *kudos*
They started to read from their notes, but today they started actually memorising them. By doing so, they thought they can gain some sweets. And they did. 🙂

Afterward, head down to JB with BX.
The first shop we went to was love, hope faith.. smth like that. It was a CHRISTIAN BOOK STORE AT JB. haha amazing, so that was our first stop. I was super excited luh, so many Jesus stuff around- at kinda cheap prices, makes me really happy. I bought some REALLY CUTE AND CHEAP stickers, scheduler, and pencil case from there. 🙂
And we watched frozen afterwards. 🙂 Going to JB was for the movie, it’s like only rm14 means 5.6sg?! ON A WEEKEND.
yeap, the movie is nice with alot of singing, which i quite enjoyed.

We saw this cute angel.. cause its gonna be christmas!
Btw, one thing i like abt Christmas is that Christmas carols are openly played in shopping malls. Hearing the name of Jesus while shopping, haha awesome.

We had our dessert at the rooftop area, there’s a cafe called “Humble beginnings”. It’s quite a pretty name i think. 😀 The ambience is nice too, the colour theme of blue and white makes it chill and relaxing.

Spent the day at sentosa today with cell group, played the LUGE for the first time!!!!! 😀
It was very fun, and the scenery when going up is so pretty!! 🙂
Afterwards, we went to siloso beach to play frisbee! Was fun haha I kinda enjoyed screaming with Phyllis likeacrazygirl.. 🙂
Strong chiewy piggybacked me and threw me into the sea.. But, I dragged her along with me! Haha #Grins

The happiest thing today is that we’ve spent quality time with the cg and I believe that we all had fun. 🙂

Have so many happy memories today. Thanks E412 for your presence to celebrate my birthday, matters a lot to me. I really love you all! I feel that I’ve received so much things that I do not think I deserve.
It’s simply God’s grace that I have what I have today.
I’m super grateful. :>
